really. 420 songs. that's very very clever. I wonder if his audience realizes he's making a totally awesome reference to pot that no one's ever made before. I bet they don't, because it's such an obscure and counter-cultural way to reference pot that no one knows about and which totally glides under everybody's radar.

I'm pretty sure they weren't making a pot reference.

It's funny how much a good intro serves as a primer for the rest of the song - it spikes that 'ooo' of recognition, and if on the dancefloor, the old 'hands in the air' moments.

420 of them strung together? Sort of weird and frustrating to listen to, even if they are well cut.

Oh I hope smash somethin is in there. It would kind of be a series of downers though, as you get all excited but then the beat doesn't kick in.

Smoke some pot and it won't annoy you as much.

Part of the Weekend Never Dies

I saw them on this tour, it was pretty awesome.

You know who else you can reference with the number 420?

A couple of songs were listed twice. Is that cheating?

I'd prefer to do some e and tell as many people as I can about it, until I fixate on something else.

Hmm. I wonder how this compares to Osymyso's Intro Introspection, which did this first (in a single track, not an hour long mix). Soulwax and Osymyso are both old hats in the bootie scene, so I don't particularly mind one playing with the other's trick.

Does he have a kick ass moustache?

...it's such an obscure and counter-cultural...

Counter-US-cultural. These people are Belgian.

Hush, Shmegegge was just trying to establish his straight-edge punk rock cred.

I like Soulwax / 2 many DJs quite a lot, but I still gave up after 10 minutes of that.

Dr-Baa: You know who else you can reference with the number 420?

The entire Czech Republic! Which is ripe for Anschluss!

Don't forget DJ Food's Raiding the 20th Century.

Soulwax are alright but they got nothin' on Food.

I really like osymyso's Intro-Introspection, which does something similar to this.

Having not heard either Osymyso's mix nor 2manyDJs, Osymyso wins on compression: 101 intros in 12 minutes.

wow! what a painfully unlistenable pice of music made from so many good pieces of music.

effugas said it. The consesus I've read suggests the Osymyso mix was better. Here it is, incidentally.
