The music video to Oren Lavie's Her Morning Elegance is rather spectacular. The clever stop-motion of a somnambulist who doesn't leave her bed took about 3,225 photos and only two days of shooting to recreate their storyboard (which itself took 4 weeks to complete). Stop-motion music videos aren't anything new, of course: Lacquer's Behind was a fun stop-motion cross-country trek, and of course, there's Radiohead's There There.

Bonus fun video, not of the stop-motion nature: Goldfrapp's Happiness.

Too bad the song isn't all that interesting, though. I feel like the video deserves better.

I'm talking about the song in the OP, by the way.

Great video. Makes me want to play Tetris.

Which is my normal test for greatness.

This is a double

Gah. Thought it had a shot at being a double, but couldn't find it. (Searched the song name and not the artist. Whoops.)

Too bad it's a double. This was reminding me that sometimes in my dreams I'm writing comments to Metafilter. And for the record, dream people - you are wrong about kumquats and beef jerky! You've totally ignored my point about magenta! And the commenter who said "argh hot beezdooble" did not grasp my point about armadillos.

Back to sleep now...
