Make My Head Grow

Friday Flash Fun: "'Make My Head Grow' is a two player battle game. Each player control a small angry guy trying to push the other guys box over the edge. As everyone knows smacking your head into the ground makes your head grow - maybe even enough to make your box move..."

At the Nordic Game Jam 2009, Make My Head Grow won:
- Best Visual Style
- Best Sound Design
- Most Innovative Controls
- Best Overall Game - Audience Award
- Best Overall Game - Panel Award

Be sure not to miss Kyle Gabler's keynote.

For those of you without a convenient second player, take a look at the gameplay, and take a listen to the rather bizarre theme song.

The description isn't much, but this is the same guy(s) that made World of Goo! I'm excited to try it!

Much like my sister, this is incredibly annoying and perplexingly endearing...

Oh wait, it's just the keynote from the WoG guy? Well, I'll still try it.

Wow, that was....really, really lame. I'm almost afraid to click through and see what was worse than this.

I MUST be missing something. Right?

I liked the part where I made his head grow. Actually, I didn't.

My cat is giving me a really dirty look.

But yeah, whatever it is that nosila is missing, I'm missing it too.

I thought "Make My Head Grow" was a 2-Live Crew song.

If I was a producer I'd suggest removing the annoying growling during the game, and maybe put a few Rice Krispie logos on top of the boxes. And can these logos sparkle, nicely, randomly a few times, please?

I liked it, though. The second last line in the song redeems it.

Perhaps it should be added to this page that this game was dreamed up and programmed in 48 hours. For 48 hours I would be content with the song alone.

I'm unamazed. It would be slightly better if there were multiplayer online play.

This is awesome you buncha haters.

Have you ever gotten so good at ANYTHING that you can sit down and from scratch build something like this in 48 hours?

Can you even stay awake and sane for 48 hours?

There are a bunch of free game building frameworks for non-coders out there, there is one in Kongregate I think. If anyone here can make anything better in 1 week, I'll mail you a nice gift.

I think this is absolutely wonderful. Sometimes there is no reason why, sometimes it just is. But if I had to explain it, it'd boil down to sheer weirdness.

Well I enjoyed it.
