A decent points -> money mechanic makes this reasonably compelling, but something tells me that "Hero" is being used in too generic a way, unless there's a shopping cart controller I'm missing. posted by LSK at 8:42 PM on February 14, 2009
I can't figure out how to make the tricks work. posted by jacquilynne at 9:58 PM on February 14, 2009
ANyone figured out the "superman" feature? posted by Meatbomb at 2:13 AM on February 15, 2009
use the up-left-down key for superman once airborne
use up-up-down for the handstand. posted by leotrotsky at 8:05 AM on February 15, 2009
You have to buy the stunts before you can use them. You can get a pretty good flip after buying the two-stage rocket, too. posted by lekvar at 3:03 PM on February 15, 2009
Well, the key commands are written on the trick themselves, so I know what they are, but how do you use them? I've tried pressing them each rapidly in succession, I've tried holding all three down at once, I've tried pressing and holding the first, pressing and holding the second, then pressing and holding the third, I've tired pressing the first two rapidly and then holding the third. None of those things seemed to result in trickery, even after I purchased them. posted by jacquilynne at 4:02 PM on February 15, 2009
it's sequential. do once airborne. they worked for me. posted by leotrotsky at 5:57 PM on February 15, 2009
jacquilynne: I did it by pressing the first, then the second, then holding the third. Maybe it'll work for you if you do it a touch slower, and make sure you don't press any two of the keys at the same time?
This game is great fun - if whoever made this game develop it further with more tricks and ideas, it'd be awesome. Flying amongst the stars in a rocket-propelled shopping trolley feels fantastic. posted by Ira_ at 7:18 PM on February 15, 2009
So, what do the groupies do? posted by piedmont at 11:42 AM on February 16, 2009
So, what do the groupies do?
I'm pretty sure they just add extra mass to the cart to help accelerate it down the hill, giving you some extra inertia for distance flights.
(And yes, I do imagine they also supply the post-landing sexual favors.) posted by Strange Interlude at 12:02 PM on February 16, 2009
They multiply your score with style points, as well. posted by jacquilynne at 1:36 PM on February 16, 2009
