Can it be brought onto an airplane as an "approved electronic device"? And if so, at what point would one be allowed to use it?

upgrade, upgrade, upgrade. can they modify my Romanian-74 or this makarov. My 40 ouncer gets to far away from my gat. How about the pistol grip 40. hold you beer and weapon at the same time. The I-gun?whether it is tongue and cheek or not, what idiot would by a "Smart gun" what, if I get pissed, will it read my heart rate and blood pressure, then say "you got rage" then shut my handgun down?

"will it read my heart rate and blood pressure, then say "you got rage" then shut my handgun down?"

I am sure there is a preference somewhere to turn off those annoying reminders - "you got rage", "firing done", "you just killed someone" etc.

As far as the bio-reading features, there will be some sort of workaround soon.

The I-gun whether it is tongue and cheek or not

Seems pretty obviously a tongue in cheek item. In fact, I think I saw this last week on plastic.

hehe... I'll buy it if the same guy who does AOL's "You've got MAIL!" does the "You just KILLED someone!"

Maybe AT&T will now bring out a remote killing feature... "Reach out and kill someone..."

The iWhatever jokes were funny two years ago. Now they just seem desperate.

boy, this is one piss-poor attempt at parody.

Oh, this is just too easy:

Slogan for the iGun: "Fight Different"

Suddenly, having a bomb as an error message is really ominous.

Boy, this might've been funny... three years ago when Apple first started their whole "i" branding thing with the iMac. Two years late and a fistful of (i)dollars short...

pleasepleaseplease let this be a joke. No, god please, a joke right?

Please?

Joking?

Funs over now. Not funny. Not impressed.

Geeks and nerds need not guns, we fight the future by knowing it and manipulating its information, not shooting one another.

This is a toy for the kid who grew up with walkie talkies made of tonka plastic and used squirtguns with powerful pump action. Now they are big babies who want to act like they are 3 again, except now they want to actually hurt someone.

You know all that stuff whith the cellphone messaging? What now, gangstas in the hood sending lil text messages to one another like "wudup?" and "see dat huni? Bitchez phat!".

(rubbing temples)

I dont want to get emails from the punk dealers out there on my street telling me to come out so that we can have "phun".

I cant take this. The world is all messed up.

Yes, we do live in Bizzaro's world

kick a--, I'm wondering if there's somebody out there that just might hack together a version of linux to put on it. hmmm, and then maybe somehow hook up a web cam to it. Then if somebody was breaking into my house while I was at work, I could blow his/her head off from my office.

hmmmmm, possibilities...

Was this a joke? I didn't read the whole thing, but it looked like one.

Azaroth,C Germanicus Nero sends you a phat pat on the back (Jack) Please, the world is not F***** up. I was 12, had a zip gun, switchblade, and homemeade Estes rockets (Neat) never kept a gun in my home(never will). I have no record and know fine law enforcement (types) who even know this. The weapon is not the issue, it is how you use it. What did Pound say...something about Gunnery has no saturation point? But i suspect your just creating ire, yes? Maturity and trust is built at home and within a community weither it be 3-d or cyber. Built opo...(soapbox is yanked, the trick works)

If this was a newer post, man would you get it from the liberals on metafilter, which is about 90%. Liberals don't want you to think like that, they want you to think that the government should do your thinking for you. How dare you assume that humans are smart enough to figure out when guns are bad and when they are good. I'm just wondering when the dems are going to try to get rid of butter knives because I can carve up a mean turkey with a nice sized butter knife.

Right on clavdivs.
