Tango în limba româna.Treat your ears to the lost art of the Romanian tango, refurbished well by Oana Cătălina Chiţu.

Well I'll be damned, Romanian tango. New one on me. I'm just not a big tango fan, though. Guess I just can't get with that certain sort of drama that it seems to require. I don't really feel it. But I'm happy for those who do enjoy it. One thing, though, I love the very old-fashioned sound that both the clarinetist* and the violinist displayed in their brief solos: harkens back to an earlier time, for sure.

*or was that a soprano sax?

...though instead of an SLYT, you could have built this up a bit. Ms. Chitu's record label seems to be focused on Eastern European and/or Gypsy music, and would have been a good source for other artists to add to the post.

Fantastic find, thanks. The song title of the number performed by Oana Catalina Chitu in the YouTube video is Femeia, Eterna Poveste.

Thanks. After having had a lot of Romanian acquaintances, I do enjoy listening to the language a lot, and this is a particularly fine voice.

I read that as Oana Cătălina Cthulhu, and was momentarily both exited and terrified.

Nice song, but in my view no dance, no tango.
