His name is Ugly Bat Boy, and no, there's nothing wrong with him. He's perfectly normal.

I wish his name was Exeter. That's a good name for him. Really, no weirder looking than Ripley of Borderlands Books.

And Gman, I don't think it's a relative of anything that has pussballs for eyes.

I love these stories about lovable misfits being adopted, and this one has video! As soon as it loads... oh dear... What ZaphodB said.

How is he "perfectly normal"? Is that pattern of fur a common variant? "Normal" != "Good"

To quote Rocky Dennis: "Don't worry, Mr. Simms. I look weird, but otherwise I'm real normal. Everything'll be cool."

I really want to shave that cat...

then it would make his 'beard' match the rest of him

This cat is awesome! Can you imagine running into HIM in a dark hallway while you're half asleep?! Yikes.

Actually, ripley freaks me out more. Atleast UBB has whiskers.

Seriously, Ripley has no whiskers. (but is still a very sweet cat).

I had a boss like that once; completely bald, except for the luxurious chest hair. She was also from New Hampshire.

I see your name includes Crash Davis, I make a connection between it and an ugly bat boy and think "ohh gawd some awful little league / local baseball situation involving a Bat boy".

Yes I can't wait for baseball to start. Go A's.

And that's why cats have fur. Well, that, and because anyone who has a four-thousand-dollar oriental carpet needs to be taught a lesson.

I'm afraid he's going to start a noise band.

He is kitty and he needs to be loved, just like every other cat does.

My friend Charles is a crazy cat lady. He is particularly fond of cats that are so ugly that nobody else will adopt them. He works them through their social and litterbox issues, nurses them to health, and loves the Hell out of them. He will wait six months for a cat to come out from under the bed. He will do anything for a misfit kitty.

I am sure that when he sees this, he will want an Ugly Bat Boy.

That is a cool looking cat, actually. Not classically cute, but he has a certain charm.

Ripley is handsome in comparison. Problem with Batboy is the fur that is there, is shaggy/dirty/ugly looking (whether it is dirty or not).

If someone exists who is not too repulsed to get close to him, he or she should brush his knotted beard.
posted by rmless at 9:03 AM on March 2, 2009

One could accurately describe his looks as distinguished and his bearing as stoic and dignified. In other words, this is no lolcat. This is a cat that demands respect.
