Not biting today, I see.

Yeah this post is like that beached whale on the Oregon coast.

I thought this post had it all: nautical themes, omega 3 fatty oils, echoes of the Ancient Mariner, bardic fishermen, quaint Oregon towns, sea shanties, a link to the New York Times, old salts reciting verse in rhyming couplets, the barnacle encrusted sublime, the faint stench of one too many pints of ale: you know, a winning combination. Alas, it was not to be. Soon this FPP will be rusting with all the rest of the forgotten trawlers that line the rocky bay: snagged on the rocks of fortune, buried in the tides of the blue. There she goes, there she goes.

To be fair, although I like Astoria, it's more gritty than quaint.

One of my favorites was Math.

Sweet! Does that mean we're going to blow it up?

I've been to Astoria, and saw the Goonies house, and the Kindergarden Cop shots. That is all.
