Oh, and don't miss the vintage matchbooks and -boxes Flickr group, either.

Hey! That George Washington matchbook cover you linked to is mine!

Really, marxchivist?

This is a really cool series of links; thanks for the FPP, flapjax. I'm especially enjoying the Coronet covers, but the McDonald's Party House is a classic.

I do so hate unsanitary cigarettes. You never know where those street vendors were keeping them.

Pancakes and cocktails? I'm sold!

It took 2000 years to grow this room, and you can burn it all in a moment.

Thanks for these, flapjax!

Great coincidence as I just uploaded some matchbook covers to flickr yesterday. At the tip (dump) I found about a thousand old matchbooks from around the world and just started scanning them.

Hey, ginky, that's amazing, what a find! How 'bout linking to them here? It's exactly the kind of self link that would be kosher, IMO. Actually, I'll just link to it right now... will you be adding more?

And marxchivist, cool! Sorry I didn't catch that those presidents were from you. I'd have made special "and from MeFi's own..." note in the post if I'd noticed. Your Flickr uploads are great, all in all, so I'm linking to your page, too.

Whatever do you mean? Why, with this fellow there to greet us at they entryway, who'd notice a little untidiness here and there?
