Despite the diversity of their subjects the individual days often have consistency, consonance, coincidence, congruence or discord.

Out of the five you linked to, I liked the one on the left more (Nina's?) every single time. The one on the right I thought was sub-par every single time.

Very cool site, with good photos. I can't believe the grass thing was coincidence though, unless they have some psychic Wonder-twins bond. :)

Sorry. I do not believe this. The chance that both of them would choose to make a close up shot of dried grass on the same day is for practical purposes zero. And take this one. They yet again just happened to have almost identical subject matter, ON THE SAME DAY??? Shenanigans. If these people truly had this kind of magical mental linkage they could make a quick million off of James Randi. I expect their "absolute secrecy" is much more along the lines of "yeah, it is weird how all the grass is dried up so early this year" *WINK* *WINK* Assuming they aren't just lying.

I think they are friends who hang out a lot, and take pictures while together and apart. What they post from their day of photo-taking is where it is serendipitous.

It's not just that friends go places together; friends who are artists know and influence each others' style — especially ones that collaborate this intensely. I wouldn't be surprised if Josh (say) saw that dried grass and thought, "Man, this is the sort of weird texture-y stuff that Nina loves taking closeups of — I'll take one too and see what happens." (Or vice versa, of course.)

I thought the exact opposite, josh's seem much more mature and thoughtful Sorry. I do not believe this. I don't see why not. People are usually friends because of similarities. It doesn't seem odd that they've post similar subjects at times.

An experiment in blind-collaboration, the coupled images of the MintyForest project are explorations of both creative and personal synchronicity... I can't help but think that this is what happens when people believe everything Apple say in their advertising.

Shenanigans. As soon as I saw the dried grass photos, I had the same thought. I came right back here to comment and laughed at all the people saying the same exact thing. After going further back in the photos though, there are only a few here and there that have the same "coincidental" feel to them. I figure maybe they just happened to be hanging out and taking pictures of the same places and things on those days.

Seconding A Year of Mornings. Josh and Nina might have something new to say with their diptychs, but the two words which compose the name of their blog -- and their connotation -- irritate me beyond all reason. I can proceed no further. Can there exist any phrase more vapid, more soporific? Do they intend to market toothpaste or hog swill? Throw some jagged glass -- a few caltrops -- in there! For the sake of the living!
