I wanna be your dog. So people are flocking to the opportunity to appear in an "and finally" spot on the news. Nowt so queer as folk, as they say up north.

But just because it gets people's attention, does that mean it's going to convey any useful information? Perhaps if dog-mistreaters were sentenced to being treated like a stray...

In Chile (where stray dogs are the norm; I guess it's the same in other countries, but I've not lived elsewhere) the life of a stray dog seems pretty good. Of course, they look pretty mangy, but all they seem to do is run around with their friends, having a good time and plenty of sex...

Made sense to me. It did occur to me that inviting people to be led around on leads and shut up in a dog run might attract a kind of clientele that the staid pillars of the community at Battersea Dogs' Home weren't exactly expecting.
