This platformer is so buggy I'm staying away from his indie work on principle. posted by yomimono at 12:31 PM on April 29 [1 favorite]
This is exactly what I needed today to remember to lol a little bit at life and for vicarious pleasure that doesn't result in me being unemployed. posted by greekphilosophy at 12:32 PM on April 29
It's a pretty adorable idea, but that is one buggy little game. posted by pazazygeek at 12:35 PM on April 29
This is the same guy who made Polychromatic Funk Monkey? Righteous. I really enjoyed playing that. posted by Dr-Baa at 12:35 PM on April 29

Well, the Linux version of his Fishie Fishie game installed and runs very smoothly, so I wish him the best of luck. posted by Marisa Stole the Precious Thing at 12:42 PM on April 29
Buggy?! It's a 4-screen platformer with basic controls. I've played it 3 times without encountering a single bug. What are you guys doing to it, exactly? posted by archagon at 12:46 PM on April 29 [8 favorites]

it's ok. i had forgotten my old school mario techniques, too. You remember all those skinny little brick platforms you would occasionally have to land on, pause, and then jump to the next one from in the first smb? well, that dot on the right side is one of those. you have to get as much running speed as you can on that tiny dot. it is, however, possible. posted by shmegegge at 1:02 PM on April 29
Also the "air control" is way stronger than normal Mario. Just hold left down! posted by autodidact at 1:04 PM on April 29
I'm with archagon. I didn't see anything even slightly buggy.
Of course I wasn't trying to play it in Opera in a emulator window on an alpha build of Kosmic Koala on a hacked Playstation 3 using WiiMotes as the inputs.
I just used the arrow keys and space bar like any normal person would. posted by Ynoxas at 3:26 PM on April 29

It crashed my computer.
Then I rebooted, went back, and it worked just fine with arrow keys and spacebar. So YMMV. Even you alone. posted by Durn Bronzefist at 4:04 PM on April 29
There's a bug if you are on the extreme right of the second screen, jumping up and down. I think; it may just be that I suck at side scrollers. posted by orthogonality at 5:29 PM on April 29
For what it's worth, presumably the "incredible project" he had the opportunity to work on at 2k Australia was Bioshock 2. posted by Amanojaku at 7:25 PM on April 29
