"A Milli," the grating rap beat, won a best rap solo performance Grammy, but that doesn't really mean anything because Milli Vanilli won one too.

That is the most grating rap beat I have ever heard. Don't listen to much rap? This is kind of damn funny in the sense that it's a bullseye as far as defining Hip Hop music. Of course battle raps have always been apart of it. Making a piece of art and standing back and making all kinds of claims to your superiority (including sexual overtures) because of it is actually hilarious once you think about it.
