I started to re-watch Blade Runner last week. The vision that we'd have ubiquitous flying cars and robots indistinguishable from humans a mere 10 years from now filled me with such mirth that I was unable to continue past about 10 minutes.

LordSludge: that's a real shame. such a wonderful movie. let go of the projected future timeline and watch it as the science fiction film it is intended to be. allowing reality to intervene in such a fine piece of cinematic literature is surely only your loss.

There are a lot of things that I love about living in the Koreatown section of Los Angeles, but I have to say that the absolute best part is the combination of electronic billboards, old buildings, signs in three languages and street vendors that allows me to pretend that I'm in Blade Runner every time it rains. I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
