Our fire alarm seems to wail to the tune of Db

One Friday afternoon at practice, fire alarm tests were being conducted. What to do? Why jam, of course!

Hahaha - that's totally cute.

Of course, sadly, it turned out not to be a test and they all died in a fire. Only the video camera survived.

Hehe, I approve! It means I'm not the only one who hums along with fire alarms. Makes them less annoying.

Reeeeally old, but it reminded me of this for some reason.

These guys are really repetitive

Those car alarms that go through like five different sequences, over and over? One was blaring away on the street here, and this chubby little kid with a crew cut was dancing to it, following the changes. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for that little guy.

Can I hire these guys to play my neighborhood's next car alarm?

Pleasant fire alarms? Lucky blighters. In my dorm, you just had to wear head-phones and pretend it wasn't happening.

The fire alarm likes it. It's making a smiley face.

Part of my brain is always waiting for truck backup alarms (the one with a high-pitched nee-noo-nee-noo) to continue playing the rest of Für Elise.

When I lived in Taiwan 20 years ago, many trucks (and cars!) there had backup alarms that actually played Für Elise.

Also the doorbell to my office played a completely artificial-sounding electronic bird tweeting sound. And right outside the window lived a bird who made the exact same sound, sending me running to the door on more than one occasion.

Anyway, this fire alarm music is excellent and it makes me happy.

I think I know who should record a cover of this song.

Those car alarms that go through like five different sequences
John Linnell from TMBG incorporated one of those into his song Idaho.

i feel slightly less weird, now, for having always tried to harmonize with the vacuum cleaner, growing up. only slightly, though.

also, this reminds me of one of my favorite, indeterminately-problematic pieces of video art.

Much better than their song about The Stand.
