I managed to get a copy of the 1966 edition for £8 this week. The 1938 edition, edited by Jan Tschichold is one I have to find!

Wow, this is some amazing find. Time to look for back issues in the used book stores. The Flickr shots are almost pornographic. The second link - I get "The article you requested could not be loaded." I'd love to see what you found on what was that page: can we get a repost on that one? pleaseandthankyou.

The second link was an obituary for Herbert Spencer, the Penrose editor during its heyday. Here's one from the Guardian.
