At least they thought to add a shoutout to Hispanics. Looks like they don't know any, though.

in the shot of the black guy and white lady shaking hands, they are both totally giving each other dead fish handshakes.

When I've seen it posted three times on Facebook, it's not the best of the web anymore.

That's cool. What's Facebook?

This is some weak ass faux-Andy Kaufmann BS. They are trying way too hard.

Besides, everyone knows that, in spite of the Furniture Store Desegregation act of 1972, black people and white people just prefer to stay at their own furniture joints.

In a post-racism America, all people will be able to enjoy crappy furniture.

ya know, I sort of like it (did I say I'm white? no? OK, "I'm White, and I liked it!")

They are trying way too hard.

Agreed. They'll never get widespread attention to their store in this way.

There's a furniture store here in Cleveland that also likes to buy late night advertising time. Here's a taste.

We don't get any. We have to sit on the floor. Oh, well.

my criticism was purely aesthetic.

That's cool. What's Facebook?

Facebook is a "social networking" website.

"Social networking" is a modern term for that blissful period right before you realize it might not be a good idea for your old girlfriend, your ex-boss, and your current mother-in-law to be all connected together.

The Red House sells black and white people furniture.

When I clicked [More Inside], I was really hoping to see Agent Cooper.

Sometimes... my recliner... goes back...

I was expecting furniture shaped like people (probably NSFW)

so where are Asians supposed to buy furniture?

Right at the end they added "... and ALL people"

Don't you feel included?

This guy will pay 200 pounds per hour to be white people furniture.

This store is not all that far from me. These guys (the ones doing the singing) have done other weird commercials for real North Carolina stores, such as Bobby Denning.

Their Taco Bell Folk Song is also pretty remarkable, if only for the ending.

The web treats Facebook as damage and routes around it.

All of the furniture looks as though they were found on front lawns and backyards.

I expected some "cause white people sit like this"comments.
Come on, that low hanging fruit won't pick itself.

I came in here excitedly hoping for some half-black, half-white love seats. Or at least a zebra-skinned recliner. I leave disillusioned.

Damn you alms, damn you to hell.

Wacky Furniture Ad Becomes Web Sensation

How to make a viral online video for money, the Rhett & Link way

Extras/Behind the Scenes

Rhett and Link

People couldn't tell if the Red House furniture video, with all its local commercial cheesiness and racial references, was a joke, racist, not at all racist, or just a brilliant online ad.... The complimentary commercial for Red House was a customer-appreciation gift from MicroBilt.com, a credit protection company.
