Went to the gym this morning. As I left, everyone said I was the best! posted by seanyboy at 4:33 PM on June 22 [1 favorite]
I liked the fake ca. 1982-ish non-antialiased CG video overlay. And the hair on the film transfer. Details, people, details. posted by @troy at 4:39 PM on June 22

"Look Around You" remains one of the most brilliant shows I have ever seen. Series 2 changed the format from Series 1, but found its own form of brilliance. One of the creators of the show, Peter Serafinowicz, has (had?) his own eponymous sketch comedy show, that, no joke, would make my wife and I almost lose consciousness from laughter..
as someone said at the time, Look Around You is exactly like the Sealed Knot, except that they choose to re-enact old episodes of Tomorrow's World, rather than, say, the Battle of Naseby. posted by gdav at 4:56 PM on June 22 [2 favorites]
Oh, dear god, I'd forgotten about that - love that sort of silliness!! posted by newfers at 4:59 PM on June 22

I also enjoyed The Timewaster Letters until my dog Daisy decided to chew it up. It was a fun book, but paled in comparison to Idiot Letters, of which I've purchased at least 6 copies for friends and family. posted by newfers at 5:13 PM on June 22 [1 favorite]
On Preview: dirtdirt beat me to it. I laughed for literally 15 minutes straight after the reveal of the special picture. It is the most perfect comedic buildup I've ever seen.
