I haven't watched even one second of Fox News in years and I honestly don't know if these are real or a parody. posted by drjimmy11 at 7:46 PM on June 28
You're not going to hear me argue that Fox's editorial standards are anything above shitty, but shouldn't a "study" lead to some sort of conclusion? All this tells me is that Fox uses a lot of words on-screen. Oh, and that Cavuto is crazy nuts. posted by kittyprecious at 7:47 PM on June 28
I thought it meant "study" in the artistic sense. posted by drjimmy11 at 7:49 PM on June 28
The conclusion is rather obvious. Fear mongering. posted by dhruva at 7:50 PM on June 28
Fox News is crazy and 3100 × 4700 mosaics of randomly sized, randomly placed screen grabs are a poor way to present information. What else is new? posted by ixohoxi at 8:01 PM on June 28 [4 favorites]
Didn't the Daily Show do a bit on this several years ago? FOX adds a question mark to any of their ridiculous insinuations to avoid accusations of lying and fear-mongering - and for some reason no one's called them on it yet.
I'm trying to pick a favorite, either "Is Mr. Rodgers ruining kids?" or "100 hours to turn America into San Francisco." But I just saw another gem..."The Best President?" under a picture of Bush. Colbert doesn't even need to change that one. posted by allymusiqua at 8:17 PM on June 28
I look forward to recieving this attached to an email soon. Maybe something titled FW: FW: FW: FW: FW: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW LOOK!!!! posted by FireballForever at 8:26 PM on June 28 [1 favorite]
What the hell is a "TANG BOMB"? Should we be warning our astronauts? posted by GuyZero at 8:38 PM on June 28 [2 favorites]
I don't know why anyone takes Fox seriously.
The far right is even more batshitinsane than I thought! posted by kldickson at 8:51 PM on June 28
What the hell is a "TANG BOMB"?
Liquid explosives that resemble juice, Tang or Gatorade if you only see them in a clear plastic bottle. It's why you can no longer carry a bottle of water past airport security. posted by Cool Papa Bell at 9:14 PM on June 28
I though "TANG BOMB" is what you did to other players if you pwned them in Halo 3. posted by turgid dahlia at 9:16 PM on June 28
It's even worse on their official fansite/blog/whatever, Fox Nation. The current front page headline:
It's an Anglicisation. It was originally "WU-TANG BOMB" posted by Fiasco da Gama at 9:55 PM on June 28
Something something left wing smears something something terrorists will kill you, dems love terror.
Left wing smear follows: there was a time, according to the photographic evidence presented, when nothing Bill O'Reilly said was overshadowed by his jowls. posted by IvoShandor at 11:41 PM on June 28
As a collage it's good, as a way to make a point it's ok-to-mediocre.
It does look like a parody of some kind though. I mean, half those titles are just laughable. aren't they? posted by From Bklyn at 12:12 AM on June 29
I had thought this topic might discuss the questionable merits of YELLOW vs. WHITE in foreign films. posted by blindkoala at 1:42 PM on June 29 [1 favorite]
