(Actually, I was just joshing, since pudding isn't corn-starch-based, at least not the disgusting pudding that's common here in the US. So this trick obviously wouldn't work with American pudding. Although I have to say that I'd like to see Bill Cosby try to walk on a swimming pool filled with pudding.)

I love QI. This bit is good, but nowhere close to some of the best. Stephen Fry rocks. QI is great, and Alan Davis is pretty brilliant. I think Metafilter turned me on to QI a year or so ago, and since then I've been a fervent ~~downlo~~ uh..watcher. I also highly recommend Never Mind the Buzzcocks, which is a music-centric celebrity quiz show. Sure, I don't recognize half the celebrities, but the ones I do are fun to watch, and some of the ones I don't make for bloody brilliant television (like Preston). Actually, just go watch that episode right now. And the following one.

Earlier post on Fry & Laurie: Early on in their comedy career a couple of guys turned up to do some decorating for Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie. It later transpired the duo were Paul Whitehouse and Charlie Higson (co-creators of The Fast Show).

I don't know if he would walk on custard, but it's my understanding that he rocks a pogo stick, can see his house from less than 12 feet off the ground, is a hell of a goalie and can tap dance. Rumor has it the 'H' stands for Haploid.
