These are gorgeous. I'm especially in love the the Brian Dettmer and Alex Qurel ones. My friend Aria Nadii has been doing altered book art for a a long time. I've had one of her pieces for a few years; and it still fascinates me.

In the book re-use genre: a crafter I used to see when the darling wife and I worked Eastern Market does book purses. Looks like her site is down at the moment but I assume it'll be fixed.
