Al Franken interviews Brent Mydland. A significant moment.

This post was deleted for the following reason: This is the second really "what?" video post we've had to delete. You need to put a little more care into making it clear why you're posting stuff, because it's seeming pretty random so far. -- cortex

Why?

I don't get it. Is this something I would need to be born before 1983 to understand?

Why "Democracy" as the thread title? Is this some kind of anti-Franken dig? Why is this a significant moment? Why did I watch it?

So many questions.

It's probably a parallel between two different "new guys", but comparing the Senate with the Grateful Dead is only possible for me if I'm on acid or power mad.

Actually, the idea of screwing up St. Stephen is pretty funny.

Being a Deadhead and a SNL watcher in the 80's: That was surreal

I got too distracted by the Celebrities Against Al Franken clip to finish this one.

Me too! Well, I did watch the clip. But then got sucked into TYT goodness.

I think this would be far cooler if that video was current and Franken's hair was that long because he didn't cut it until he got to take his elected office.

So... Al Franken, years and years ago, interviewed a member of the Grateful Dead.

He's got a long resume.

Is there something else I need to know to put this in perspective? Otherwise, I think I've had two minutes of my life stolen for no reason.

sid abotu? care to provide some context for this ridiculous post?

Replace ridiculous with ambiguous. I am willing to concede there may be some significance here I am missing.
