You know I suspect these two may have had some communication issues....

Do people really read that slow? I kept hitting the time-bar to get that thing to speed up.

A youtube video with 75 views, which probably (based on the similarity between the username and photo on the YouTube submitter's blog and the OP's account) is a self-link.

How exactly is this best of the web?

Funny though.

You know, I don't care if these are real or not. I just know that if they were on a blog so I could read them, I'd enjoy them, but watching them as a video with painful music and at a pace that suggests most people can't read very fast is just...gah.

Right messages, wrong medium.

I blame Europe for destroying true love.

oooooh - genome4hire might be right, I was wondering why there were so few views. Yaknow, apart from it being the totally wrong way of serving the story like davejay notes.

Yeah, I kept fast forwarding to get through the crap. Obvious story ending is obvious.

Meh....she was a psychotic idiot....big deal.

Who goes on holiday for two weeks and doesn't contact home or their girlfriend even once?

Where's this hilarity I was promised? And didn't this guy learn that it is in fact possible to check email while abroad - it's very useful, as minifigs points out, to like, contact your loved ones.

Untalented comedy writers in search of material for their blogs.

There is such a thing as choosing the right medium for the message. This is an example of how not to do that.

Fucking ridiculous self-link bullshit is just icing on the cake.

No, not a self-link -though i didn't notice the similarity in pictures before. I found the video on another site and tracked it back to the youtube address since i didn't know if the video would remain on the front page if i linked to the blog. I also questioned the veracity of the video since it does seem rather unlikely that anyone traveling through Europe wouldn't bother to stop into an internet cafe at some point.

However, I did give him points for clever presentation snarky, incredulous "who me?" commentary, and 5 minutes of fun which tipped the balance in favor of posting.

Uhm, someone who is going on a two week vacation to get away from said home and girlfriend. When I go on a vacation I sever all ties to the world I'm leaving behind so that I can relax and enjoy myself. For some people this is the entire point of going on a vacation, and for f's sake it is only two weeks.

First of all, not everybody checks their email when they go overseas, so I find this plausible. Second of all, even though we see what is coming, it's a decent train-wreck, especially the drunken email.

Finally, I think it's generally lame that everybody always has to try to point out the lesson they learned from their experience. Life isn't an episode of Charles In Charge; it's okay for you to experience batshitinsane stuff without learning a damn thing from it.

Also, I read pretty slowly, especially at 1:30 AM.
