anybody else get a strong Daft Punk vibe from this? I get a strong Daft Punk vibe from this. posted by shmegegge at 1:04 PM on August 19, 2009
At first I was put off by the juxtaposition of flat colored characters against the more detailed backgrounds. I quickly got over that because of the awesome music and the super hero charging up scene. posted by Mister Cheese at 1:10 PM on August 19, 2009
Shmegegge, the song was produced by Justice, who are the flagship artists on the Ed Banger record label, which is owned and operated by Busy P, the manager of Daft Punk. They're just a couple degrees away.
Incidentally, Birdy Nam Nam is named for a scene from the Peter Sellers movie The Party...
Hah, that's hilarious - that movie was the first thing I thought of when I saw the band title, and then I was like "There's no way that's taken from that movie... because he was clearly saying Birdy Num Num in the film." posted by FatherDagon at 2:12 PM on August 19, 2009
wow. Seriously... wow. That was very, very cool. Thanks so much for posting that! posted by Slothrop at 2:35 PM on August 19, 2009
The video far outshone the music in the video. I would definitely watch anything made by this Steve Scott person, not so much the listening to the Birdy Nam Nam group of people. posted by Lipstick Thespian at 5:28 PM on August 19, 2009
