i like that this was done in the 40's. none of that silly cg nonsense. i bet they had to draw those mouths frame by frame, which certainly beats the chewing food method they used for lancelot link posted by fuzzypantalones at 1:29 PM on August 23 [2 favorites]
It's funny to see how back in the 1940's, the censors wouldn't even allow simple depictions of these monkeys eating their own splooge. Times do change! posted by Greg Nog at 4:39 PM on August 23
Dum diddy dum diddy dum diddy dum Banana!
We chased lady luck, 'til we finally struck Banana.
With a gun and a rope and a hat full of hope, planted a family tree. We got hold of a pot of gold, Banana.

Those look like the most bored monkeys ever. Or the most sedated.

I'm not sure I want to admit that it took watching a Monkey Western to learn that all my life I've been incorrectly pronouncing skulduggery. Luckily I think I've only said it out loud... ah... maybe twice. Or possibly never. posted by oneirodynia at 8:47 PM on August 23 [1 favorite]
Wait, I don't understand.
The Orphan can't pay her mortgage, so she's going to get kicked out. So the first thing the hero does is go down to the bank and try to instigate a fight with the lender. But he doesn't want to get suckered into a fight, so the hero just flat-out attacks him. And the announcer even says, "Well, that didn't really accomplish anything 'cause the Orphan still owes the mortgage..."
