That is some seriously shitty bad bank-robber luck.

And I would've gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for that doodling kid.

Sidhedevil beat me to it - this is just a fantastic story that cannot help but bring a smile (or at least a smirk) to my jaded face. Cheers, Artw.

Great story, thanks Art.

I kind of regret not making the title something about calling the filth or something, but I couldn't make it work.

When he refers to his "status as a grass" (I suspect that the extra "as" was a mistake) is that Cockney slang or something? I don't get it.

is that Cockney slang or something?

British slang: the verb "to grass" means "to denounce someone" (entry at M-W). I've not heard it as a noun carrying the same sense before, though.

Thanks for that.

Aw, nice. I think everyone has those moments where they imagine heroically putting their special skills to the test. Cool to see it work out for this guy.

Grass = snitch = 'dog' in Australia (I've been watching way to many Australian crime dramas recently)
