I have to disagree about the length...the more I watch them the more disturbing they get. At first it just sounds like a film sample...we've all heard it before...but as you start hearing the words repeated it gets weird. I'm thinking of 'get in the van' in particular. It reminds me a bit of the Steve Reich thing 'come out' that repeats bits of 'to let the bruise's blood come out to show them.' Ok yeh he made them to be funny as well, but the same thing that makes them funny makes them surreal...think this technique has potential for art.

It's a fine example of semantic satiation. It works even better if you are saying the word or phrase aloud, but here the words are kind of used as a rhythmic instrument.
