Very neat -- hard to believe it's really done by hand. Not very NSFW, though.

Not very NSFW, though.
Don't know where you work, but decapitation and a pretty straightforward masturbation reference woudln't fly at most, I'm guessing.

But yeah, not crazy about the content (although clever in some parts), but that concept for the flip-paper stop motion was really really cool. Reminds me of some of Blu's work, which has been posted to the blue in the past.

Agreed with TEDBH. The cartoon itself was meh, but I was blown away by the technique. I especially loved how he would delay an action by flipping back and forth between the same frame. Brilliant!

meh ... but brilliant?

I'd just say, brilliant. And riveting. Loved the tension of overt technique (pretty much nothing kept secret in terms of how it was being done) versus sudden moments of pure and breathtaking movement.

and it was gory.

Gory-ish... Reminded me of Plympton in some places. The technique is amazing!

I can be impressed as hell by the technique in "The Polar Express" and still think the story is lousy and some of the animation kind of creepy.

Brilliant is mixed with meh all the time.

animation technique: +
sound: +
drawing: +
total effect: less than the sum of its parts.

I've been really interested lately in this kind of ultragore/porn that makes the leap into good art. I'm apparently not alone in thinking that Superjail is unironically brilliant, and I've recently been looking at the comics of Tim Hensley. I don't quite know what to make of it all yet. I mean, Crumb and all of that was kind of an explosion of repression and nervous energy, but now it seems like a genre coming into its own.

This was pretty damn good. And the kicking legs do look very Plimptonish.
