Schott is writing for the New York Times? I thought he was disgraced several years ago for plagiarism in a piece he wrote that the Times published.

Controversy about the contributer aside, I really enjoyed this. It's great to see how different cultures treat aging, and how they consider childhood / adolescence / adulthood / old age at different times.
