Isn't killing yourself a little tired these days, like by the time Michael Hutchence got around to it it had already become passe.

It worked for Jim Croce. One of his albums went gold for the first time about two months after he died in a plane crash; and that was followed by several more.

Kevin Gilbert died from autoerotic asphyxiation. But it doesn't really seem to have helped his album sales.
