The Two Ronnies were brilliant; loved that show growing up.

This is really weird. I was thinking about this exact sketch as I was going to sleep last night. Such a simple concept, executed perfectly. Absolutely brilliant.

Really great post. Oh, man, that's just hilarious. Thanks, I was unfamiliar with The Two Ronnies.
And grounded, that's just the funniest damn skit ever. So clever! (I definitely watched twice; you were right.)

Just Excellent. On both viewings, too.
But also I just learned that Hassock = Tuffet = low footstool and HOLY SHIT THAT FUCKING RHYME MAKES SENSE NOW! OMFG!
Thanks for the link, CrunchyFrog.

That's excellent. I watched that years ago as a kid and remembered it vividly. Watching it now, I've only just understood some of the jokes, including the one that always puzzled me as a 10 year-old ("What sort [of artist is Dean Martin]?" "Pass" "Close enough").
This, however, is the one a ten year-old me found the funniest.
