Before there was a Yahoo!, There was Yahoo Serious.. It seemed like we were headed for a nice Australian invasion in the lateeighties-earlynineties with Crocodile Dundee and Paul Hogan's subsequent "That's not a knife..that's a knife." commercials. This first Yahoo was to make millions of dollars, and then it, like, didn't. What were the chances of two Yahoo's in one decade? Why does one yahoo succeed while another fails?

What are the chances that someone with the name Yahoo Serious would get a doctorate, albeit honorary? Just imagine being wheeled into the OR and being operated on by someone with a name like Dr. Serious. Well, good for him, I guess. I never knew he wrote, directed, produced the silly movie he starred in.

I used to think Yahoo Serious was annoying. But if you compare his minor transgressions with the likes of Carrot Top, Gallagher and Pauly Shore, he comes out looking like Lenny Bruce.

And at least his invention had to do with beer. I'll give him that.

Also, in the one of the photos in the link he looks kind of like the singer from The Dream Academy.

In about '86 or so, the Lime Spiders put out a kickass song called "Weirdo Libido," and I was really psyched to see Young Einstein because the record sleeve said the song would be in the movie. . . . Umm, the Lime Spiders kick ass anyway.

Notice how the webmaster is kinda proud of their 'Young Einstein' link. Six times in a short piece, had myself a groundhog day in there.

Brings to mind when my parents went to the States and had to go to hospital at some point. After explaining to the desknurse that "We're on holiday" (vacation) and filling out the necessary forms they took their seats in the waiting room. A half hour later they noticed their turn had come around when a nurse strolled in with a clipboard, surveyed the room and yelled "Ron Holiday........ Ron Holiday....?".
