A working internet business model?

A working internet business model? Say it ain't so! While checking out my options for hosting companies, i found these guys. They struck me as geeks with a dry sense of humour.
hmmm... Maybe if i trust my websites in the hands of geeks, i won't have to worry about my host disappearing from under me due to some suit blowing capital on a fancy chair. (+2 points for having a site that believes in function over aesthetics. maybe they're on to something here as well...) I dunno, maybe i stumbled on to something grand in the making? A company that actually cares?!? o_O

sounds like pair networks, without the five-year track record. (disclaimer: just a satisified pair customer.)

Definitely seems like a cool group of level-headed guys, but my only worry is that they almost sound like they're trying too hard to show you that they're straight up. Nevertheless, I like.

I'm a satisfied Your-Site user. I've had a great experience with them, and recommended it to several other people who like it. Great customer service, and it's dirt cheap ($60/yr).

well, i've been using them for a little while now, and i've impressed so far.

relatively cheap, they do indeed have a sense of humour, even when i ask then outlandishly strange questions, they have answers.

i figured i'd test em out a bit before i posted a link here, and i'm glad i went with them.

i'm hoping these are the right hosting company. so far, so good.

now if we can start getting other GOOD sites hosted by them... that might stop the decay.

In other words, we charge for our services (i.e, hosting your site), and we don't go bankrupt (i.e, we can help prevent your site from disappearing).

Okay so they're working, good, it's on the internet, it's a business... Where are the models? Where's the guy on the phone and the dude looking into space? There's no woman where it looks like you're looking at her from above and her legs get really small! There are no models here.

I'm not trying to be mean but so many members use hosting services it makes this topic a bit like "what toothpaste do you use?" As long as yours is working you don't really care what everyone else uses.

...Until you're shopping for a new host. I've been looking for a couple of months and it's the strangest thing. The first thing I look for is a list of what's included in each plan and- get this- a price. I couldn't find either.

I think this is what you're looking for auntbunny:
http://www.dycero.com/features/fast.html. Seems that they specialize/prefer custom features and personal services not canned packages. Suppose a usability problem has been uncovered.
