Animated Advent Calendar [via mefi projects] Want a way to count down the days till the Santa (with or without companion(s)) comes to town, but you don't want to go out and spend money on a disposable bit of proto-landfill with daily entries that don't dance? The Online Advent Calendar is your answer. The '08 version is also available for viewing.

Love it.

And I don't know what's under this year's Dec. 5th box and won't find out for a few days. But if you're open to suggestions for next year...

December 5th is Krampusnacht.

I'm just sayin'...

This made me think of another mefite's online advent calendars. I went to see if they were still there, and they aren't. And now I'm sad.

Last year's calendar was a kite. The following day was much more frightening. (Was there some Sausage Duck meme I missed?)

Krampus is something I found out about it only today, when shirt.woot offered greetings from Krampus.

I saw "companions" and immediately thought that this Advent calendar would offer guest appearances by Donna Noble and Martha Jones, and then was sadly disappointed when I clicked the link.
