Wow. Youtube wasn't kidding about adding actual HD videos; I'm seeing a real increase in quality here.
This is awesome. I am going to watch it for the fourth time now. posted by koeselitz at 6:08 AM on December 3, 2009
So this is why people dig Star Trek so much? posted by From Bklyn at 6:09 AM on December 3, 2009
This is also like the 4th ST: TNG *thing* I've seen in the last few days. We're well on our way to approaching memeness man it is SUNNY here today maybe I should put on some dusty springfield wait what's that- posted by The Whelk at 6:11 AM on December 3, 2009

Yeah, I'm sort of alarmed at the fact that I think I've watched this around seven times now and show no sign of stopping. The moment that bumps this from "random stupid" to "a passing sort of genius" is the unexpectedly brilliant use of Rush's "Tom Sawyer" at 1:35. Also, I'm pretty sure the only word that they dubbed in correctly is the bit at 1:05 where Data says "Captain." posted by koeselitz at 6:21 AM on December 3, 2009

Potomac Avenue: “oh ugh i now i dont know if i can like this the editor is a 9-11 conspiracy theory moran”
Do you really think so? If that was his honest opinion, seems like he'd come up with a more... er... sincere way to express it, wouldn't he? I'm pretty sure that whole thing was a joke. At least it's pretty funny to me to think that the crew of the Enterprise are all poker-playing conspiracy-theory nutcases. posted by koeselitz at 7:11 AM on December 3, 2009
Worf saying "Muricuh's gettin' crazy" is just too goddamned hilarious not to laugh at posted by koeselitz at 7:13 AM on December 3, 2009
I was never a fan of Star Trek because the dialogue was not congruent with the costumes and acting. That has all changed now. posted by weapons-grade pandemonium at 7:23 AM on December 3, 2009
Good god, Potomac Avenue, you're right. There's all this stuff on his band's web site about "FLU SHOT IS TOXIC!" and "9/11 HOAX!"
Well, that's it, folks. My irony meter lies in a sodden pile of rusted rubble on the floor, busted beyond all doctoring. posted by koeselitz at 7:24 AM on December 3, 2009
DATA: Maybe we can have a casual gangbang, right here on the floor, before the doors open.
