I see a definite Slavic fatalistic mentality at work here, in which both combatants inevitably die at each other's hand. Great stuff, though!

This is great stuff indeed - well worth a look see. My favourite, so far anyway, is Amela Panderson vs J.Po. (NSFW I imagine, although it was far more witty and satirical than that warning implies).

I liked Heo vs Skyworker

(I notice a careful avoidance of copyrighted names).

I can't explain it but darn if I don't want to eat Russian Potato Chips (I'm guessing).

I appreciated their knowledge that Super Mario can run safely across a one-unit-wide hole more than I probably should have. Also, Frozo vs. Harry Topper deserves to be mentioned by name.

All this leaves me wondering who exactly these people are, and why they have so many different short cartoons to help sell their potato chips.

I enjoyed Clara Roft and Louisiana Jones. Very good channel to watch them all.

These are awesome, and almost exactly the right length.

Well, as tropes go, the "Versus" animation is pretty sorely over-played by now. We've had this theme thoroughly explored in Celebrity Deathmatch, Stickfigure Death Theatre and countless...

Shit, these are really good.

I think it's the silly vocal sound effects that do it for me. They make me think of some 12-year-old kid, tongue sticking out of the side of his mouth as he furiously scribbles away on a notepad, making "Pew-pew! K-booshhh!"* noises.

*Though I guess those should technically be "Пю-пю! Бушщш!" noises. Or something like that. I barely know any Cyrillic, but it amuses me to use it whenever possible."

"Пю-пю! К-бушщш!" I forgot the К! Very important.

The audio design is absolutely sublime. Great find. I don't care how virally these are selling whatever.

How many Mr. Stranges does it take to change a light bulb.

THAT'S NOT FUNNY!

I love the little touches, like the plumbing pipe at the end of accountant vs designer.

How to I find out more about this Russian potato chip company? I am intrigued by their ad campaign and wish to subscribe to their newsletter.

All the zombie chomping is a somewhat disturbing (though very funny) choice to promote chomping on their chips.

These aren't chips, they're a kind of crunchy dried bread snack very popular in Russia, especially among teenagers and as an accompaniment to beer. This particular brand is owned by PepsiCo/Frito Lay, which sponsored these animations.

David B. vs David C.

I was expecting Bowie and Crosby. This is almost as good.

Misogyny? Ok, maybe in some of them. But honestly, there are hell of a lot more gags here with naked men than there are with naked women.

Racism? Which ones were you watching? That's not entirely a rhetorical question. I obviously didn't watch all of these, and none of the ones I saw struck me as particularly racist.
