Not really. I just didn't want to feel left out of this discussion. posted by davidmsc at 8:32 AM on July 6, 2001
The best part about that site, other than the hateful yet incredibly cute kitties, is the "letters" section.
I hope you realize that your webpage "my cat hates you" perpetuates cruel acts towards cats and other animals as well.
If you don't see that, you need to look into the statistics of how sights like these initiate and motivate people (mostly young boys) to do cruel things to cats.

Huh?
What? Haven't you ever been to www.statisticsofhowsightslikemycathatesyoudotcominititateandmotivatepeoplemostlyyoungboystodocruelthingstocats.com?
Did that letter-writer mean "sights" or "sites"? posted by jpoulos at 9:39 AM on July 6, 2001
Bonsai!!! (yelled a la "Food Fight!!!" in "Animal House") I think it's pretty obvious that the sight/site has inspired some animal cruelty.
No, wait...you mean that bonsai cat stuff isn't REAL? Sheesh...you can't trust anybody on the internet... posted by davidmsc at 10:16 AM on July 6, 2001
this site makes me sad -- my cat hates ME.
she likes you, though. posted by sugarfish at 10:29 AM on July 6, 2001
But this cat doesn't hate anyone :) posted by sikander at 10:33 AM on July 6, 2001
At least one thing remains constant on the web: people never seem to get tired of talking about their cats.
I used to marvel at the way cat owners always talk about their cats, until I actually got a one (a cat). Now I have to restrain myself from stopping complete strangers on the street and saying things like, "When I came home yesterday, my cat way lying on the back of the sofa on her back with her paws stretched out abover her head. Above her head! Can you believe that? It was so CUTE!!!!" posted by jennyb at 10:47 AM on July 6, 2001

It's the fourth pic down on this page, if one would prefer to get to it that way. posted by youhas at 12:19 PM on July 6, 2001
Someone out there owns a very famous kitty, and they probably don't even know it. Variations on that picture have shown up everywhere. posted by jpoulos at 12:30 PM on July 6, 2001
I'm almost certain it's a stock photo. posted by kindall at 12:36 PM on July 6, 2001

I'm sure it is, but still, someone owns the cat. Unless its a stock cat. posted by jpoulos at 12:47 PM on July 6, 2001
Yeah, the cat's from Central Casting. posted by kindall at 12:53 PM on July 6, 2001
