Meh. The enraged fights in the comments were more interesting than the actual piece, and it would have been funnier without the monkey. Edit!

Yeah, that was kinda lame. Sorry netbros. Nothing personal.

Must be fake, but looks so real. Background music is annoying as hell.

You know, besides all the fake stuff in the video, Bush smiled way too much that day.

Well I thought it was funny.

Yeah, I noticed when Obama started giving his speech bush looked like a little kid eagerly anticipating his turn to talk, while Clinton was stoic waiting for his turn.

Man, I am so glad that guy's not president anymore.

W. Bush without power is strangely pitiful, like a cat in the rain or something.

Bush - that huckster can't even save people from standing water in the lower 48.

As a liberal who was in the camp of "Bush was a figurehead for Cheney," I have to say I've been more amused by him now that he's out of power. He's in his element. He can be on his ranch, with his adorable doggy.

Of course, some people are too partisan to even accept that his dog was cute. You can argue about No Child Left Behind and the Iraq war, but you have to admit that Christie Whitman can really pick out a puppy. As a New Jersian, I'm proud.

Floam, this might tickle your fancy. It's from 1992, though. Hope you remember your Retro GOP Primary Candidates.

Er, wait. 1992 was the Democratic primary. I'm stupid. I thought 1992 was the middle of Clinton's two terms.

It makes me feel nostalgic to laugh at W one more time. Its like a band you hated when you were a kid reforming and going on tour so you can hate them again in middle age.

Yeah, seemed kind of meh to me too. Others seemed to like it, so it's all good.

This seems to be from a new show on Comedy Central Netherlands, and I haven't seen it. But I will tell you, if it's Dutch cut-up/dub video satire you're looking for, you could do worse than to check out LuckyTV. Not only is his editing mostly spot on (not always), he does a wide ranges of voices, Dutch and English (and impressively, sometimes other languages too). Sometimes it's difficult for me to discern between dubbed voices and original ones that have been cut up.

From "3 AM"

"I did not pull the bottomless supply of peppermints out of my ass, by the way. Ponder, if you will, this passage from an account of a briefing on Iraq in “the Tank,” the secure meeting room for the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon, which took place on January 10th, 2001, ten days before Bush’s first inauguration:

The JCS had placed a peppermint at each place. Bush unwrapped his and popped it into his mouth. Later he eyed [outgoing Secretary of Defense William S.] Cohen’s mint and flashed a pantomime query, Do you want that? Cohen signaled no, so Bush reached over and took it. Near the end of the hour-and-a-quarter briefing, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Army General Henry ‘Hugh’ Shelton, noticed Bush eyeing his mint, so he passed it over.

You see? You see how it is trying to be a satirist these days?"
