It's all fun and games until someone gets voted out an airlock

On February 1, a new 24-hour internet-only reality show was launched by the same folks who brought us Apollo 13. Live Feed. Main site. Catch the action (from a distance). How the "set" was built. Cast interview (video). Official press release.

NASA TV Links for Employees (not available to general public)

Because there you can see NASA employees getting it on in space.

Now you can use the Internet to see how astronauts live and work each day aboard the International Space Station, complete with calls to Mission Control and no pesky ads.

That's gonna last. Or is the kind of "no ads" that NPR and PBS have where they continually list "sponsors" and do "product reviews"?

Hey, come on, DU, Ronald McDonald is just a viewer like you.

If you'd prefer not to watch through the web page, put this feed into VLC or similar.

I love NASA TV anyway, and the idea of watching the ISS at any time is very cool. I don't think I ever really grew out of wanting to be an astronaut.

So how do we vote off the astronauts we don't like?

DU has a red afro, enormous feet, and wears pajamas out in public? What a freak!

Ah yes -- the time-honored concept of "spacing" an antagonist. Open the airlock door, HAL!

Dave, the AE-35 unit is malfunctioning. Someone will need to EV and fix it. We took a vote and volunteered you.

Actually, the first problem is getting Jeff Probst up there.

Will it be as fun and salacious as Jersey Shore?

My favorite crew member of Expedition 22 is flight engineer Soichi "The Situation" Noguchi.

Just wait until Clay Anderson gets back up there next month. That guy is a riot.

When I load the page, I see the dude on the ISS but get no sound. If I use that exact same .asx URL in VLC I get sound but only from Mission Control, no space. Wha.
