Peter Boome is an artist. An enrolled member of the Upper Skagit Tribe in Washington State, Boome specializes in Coast Salish design. (More info about this art if you press the "click it" option in the last link.)

An exhibit on the Salish ended recently at the Seattle Art Museum. They have a bunch of photos and info up on their site (flash).

Puffin Play reminds me of both Escher and the diagram for yin and yang. I didn't even see those birds at first. And Woof is sweet.

Lovely! Coast Salish artwork is incredibly beautiful--I loved the show at SAM, and miss NW native art terribly since I moved across the country last summer. Thanks for the good links!
