Some of those are quite clever. And some of them remind me of unfertilized eggs traveling through fallopian tubes.

can someone explain the island to me?

Which one? This one is life: you were born, you repeat week after week until you die. (Weekend roads are white, weekday roads are yellow.) This one's a battery icon with one "bar" left. Wrong Island is Long Island rotated 180 degrees.
