This piano guy is great, even though it is just another random thing on the internet. I don't know people's motivation for using ChatRoulette, but there's at least one pop sociology article in it for an academic who's willing to stoop for publicity.

I also find this to be the best thing I have seen about ChatRoulette. Perhaps it will span many imitators, so ChatRoulette will consist entirely of people singing to each other. Skowing of their pipes, as it were. That would be a slight improvement, no?

This is awesome! I like how all the Stranger's faces are so serious at first, hesitant about the weirdness that is about to ensue. And then they they go from :-| to :-D in lighting speed, when they realize he's singing about them.
I went on chatroulette last night... or rather, I put my roommate's cat on chatroulette last night, chasing a laser on the wall, to the Bumblebee Tuna song. I lasted 6 (SIX!!) minutes without being nexted! Then I nexted him, because I felt like he was enjoying the cat a little too much.

The mirrors are positioned so that they reflect his face and his hands on the piano. I think they're supposed to be stand-ins for the face and hand closeups you'd normally see of a piano player in a music video. They don't exactly work that way because everything appears the same size to the camera, but it was a good try.
Awesome video, I hope he does more! This is the first thing I've seen that really tempts me about Chat Roulette.

Yea, this is exactly the sort of thing that makes me think ChatRoulette is really cool, but clearly you'd have to wade through hours of young folks looking blank and masturbating idiots to see something remotely creative or interesting. I guess it's just like the number of twitter accounts devoted to the most mundane things compared to a @shitmydadsays, only with penises.

I went on chatroulette the other night and improvised instrumentally on my synths for about a half hour. The same guy watched me the whole time, it was fun to entertain someone i'll never meet. I'm nowhere near as good as this guy, but chatroulette is awesome for some noodling around and getting over stage-fright, IMHO.

Nah. It was quite sweet actually. Once you get past the 90% of bored blokes looking for sex in some form or other, the rest thought it was great. I got some big smiles. It was the girls who were most willing to engage strangely enough. (The dinosaur did not take advantage of this fact.)
