Game over, man, game over!

I now fully expect to read sordid stories in tomorrow's tabloids of Paxton's secret love affairs or drug abuse. After attaining the utmost pinnacle of worldwide success and fame, there's really nowhere to go but down.

This takes all the wind from the sails of the line "I love Bill Paxton as much as the next guy," which up until now, I had taken to using a balanced four times a week. Shit.

I love how he came up with the idea.

Hey, it would be cool to have a pinball machine!
I should build my own, it would be a interesting challenge.
What would the theme be?
Ah! Bill Paxton Pinball. Swish, done.

I don't want to know what happens when this guy decides to make a sandwich.

When I first read this, I confused Bill Paxton with Bill Pullman.
I still think a Bill Pullman machine would be even more awesome.

Bill Paxton is a solid character actor but not really distinctive enough to stand out as a That Guy like Christopher Lloyd or even "Ned Ryerson".

DU: "Bill Paxton is a solid character actor but not really distinctive enough to stand out as a That Guy like Christopher Lloyd or even "Ned Ryerson"."

My God, can you imagine a Christopher Lloyd pinball machine when the ball loads for a shot?

"Uuuuuuuh ... okie-doke!"

My hopes for Big Love multiball play were not disappointed.

Why don't we just put him in charge??

I got to see Aliens at midnight in NYC last month. I've seen several midnight movies at this theatre and the reactions of the crowd were always pretty...respectful.

But Aliens, for some reason, the crowd was so enthusiastic—and it made it so much better. I've always loved the movie, I know it's considered a classic but hearing every cast member get applause (credit and first screen appearance) warmed my heart to know others love this movie the way I do.

Anyway, Bill got the biggest applause (I think—his credit was ganged with a bunch of others) as did "Game Over, Man!" "Why don't you put her in charge" got the biggest laugh though.

Discounting "Get away from her you bitch" as the far and away winner on the crowd-meter

What the world really needs is a Samuel L. Jackson pinball machine.

"Multiball again. MULTIBALL AGAIN! I dare you, I double dare you, motherfucker. Multiball one more goddamn time!"

Similar experience to be had at the Prince Charles cinema off Leicester Square; they did a Lethal Weapon/Die Hard double bill where I only went along for Die Hard and it was glorious to be surrounded by people who knew when to shut up ("I shot a kid"), when to laugh ("Gee, I sure hope thats not one of the hostages") and when to cheer ("Happy trails, Hans")

Insofar as That Guy goes, I finally identified him as Leland Orser and/or Brad Dourif.

The Dude never talked about pinball, but I could sure get into a Dude machine.

This is like that article i once read about the guy who had $50,000 and counting in plastic surgery to look more like Tom Arnold. I want to admire the guy's persistence and dedication, but my admiration is countered by puzzlement, followed by alarm.

Maybe I can contract this guy to build my lifelong dream, a Dune-the-Movie pinball table. The game practically writes itself.

Multiball: My brother comes with many fremen warriors
Lock: I am the Shadout Mapes, the housekeeper
Bonus multiplier: My name is a killing word
Ball save: I suggest the duke's son may be human
Spinner: The spice must flow
Ball drain: It is the slow blade that penetrates the shield
Extra ball: It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.
Bonus time: The sleeper has awakened

And finally, the Patrick Stewart bonus bumpers: "Behold, as a wild ass in the desert, go I forth to my work", "Mood's a thing for cattle and loveplay, not fighting", etc. I'm sure there's a way to work in the lute playing, too.

This is cool, but disappointing. For someone who spends so much time on detail, Ben Heck should have had an illustrator use his photo-montage layouts and do flat color illustrations for the playfield and airbrushed or painted artwork for the backglass. Or, use Photoshop and recreate that look. The table sides should have been stenciled, too.

It just doesn't look like an authentic pinball machine to me with the photos as they are... this totally misses the pinball aesthetic.

True. I'm a fan of pinball machine art, but this thing is awesome on concept alone.

I'd like to see "Leeloo Dallas, Multiball". Light up all 4 elements, then the 5th, for super pointage.

WHERE THE FUCK IS CHET FROM "WEIRD SCIENCE"???

I don't see it in this link, but on previous views of this pinball machine, I've seen a graphic of a greasy pork sandwich served in a dirty ashtray. Subtle.
