Ohhhhhhh, boy, these are great! Thanks. I finally now have a term to accuse people of when they finish my stories, too! Punchline pirates, beware. posted by barnacles at 3:43 PM on April 7, 2010

Is that how everyone pronounces the "Sans" in "Comic Sans"? Or is it just a Canadian thing? Because I always pronounced it like "sands" but without the letter D. OH GOD IT'S "MEEFIE" VERSUS "MEHFEE" ALL OVER AGAIN. posted by ErikaB at 5:11 PM on April 7, 2010

His pronunciation is the Canadian Anglicised version of the French word, where the final 's' is silent, except when it proceeds a word beginning with a vowel sound. The French pronunciation is also very nasal.

I don't know, picture of a brain with a question mark on it
it's like it's not enough word "enough" with a "NO" symbol over it
to just tell us his damn thoughts, first picture of brain with "thoughts" replacing the question mark
he has to illustrate picture of a painter in a messy smock standing before a canvas
them with quick-fire editing giant MTV logo fills the screen
and sound effects still photograph of Foley artists slapping meat together
which I find incredibly annoying stock photo of grimacing old man
for some reason. image of scientist looking intently at a test tube posted by JHarris at 6:18 PM on April 7, 2010 [1 favorite]

Well, FWIW, I'm Canadian and I am guilty of font-based puns involving Horatio Sanz. posted by Sys Rq at 7:25 PM on April 7, 2010
Thanks for posting, Rhaomi. I found Kirby and his videos very likable. Beautiful production, too. But the popup ads were an annoying distraction. posted by applemeat at 9:05 PM on April 7, 2010

Update: I just discovered that a lot of Windom Earle's music is also available for free in its entirety on his Bandcamp.com page. The two available albums: The Things I Do For Girls and Gold Wave.
"Touched By A Transvestite" might sound familiar because of the Pomegranate Phone (mefi). [disclosure: my brother's in the band...that's the second time I had to say that since Twin Peak's day] posted by boost ventilator at 6:37 PM on April 11, 2010
