These bullets are significantly slower than a traditional bullet hell. posted by shakespeherian at 11:38 AM on April 14, 2010
Such is the downside of a Flash-driven shmup. I'm hoping they make one on a stand-alone engine eventually. posted by Marisa Stole the Precious Thing at 11:40 AM on April 14, 2010
I still lost. :( posted by DU at 11:40 AM on April 14, 2010
I just don't understand it. I eat this twerp and like two more identical ships that never bother to attack en masse but only appear sequentially -- what are they, chronically late triplets? Anyway, problem solved. But then, between 1 and 10 seconds later, he shows up again. Sometimes I ask myself, "Do I really hunger anymore?" posted by cog_nate at 11:41 AM on April 14, 2010 [7 favorites]
How the hell do I ram the ship when I can't get into the lower 60% of the screen? posted by shakespeherian at 11:48 AM on April 14, 2010

I'm trying to pin him by forcing him to one side, going to the opposite side, firing a laser at the sharpest diagonal I can and rushing over to meet him, and still nada. posted by shakespeherian at 12:04 PM on April 14, 2010
Oh hey there are other ships you can play as. posted by shakespeherian at 12:19 PM on April 14, 2010
shakespeherian: Use the laser to cut off half of the screen, fire other shot close to laser to force him above, and then crush him. posted by MechEng at 12:22 PM on April 14, 2010

I enjoyed that more than I should have, considering how bad I am at bullet-hell games. That said, I feel like you could have worked "You take a chance and you face the wind" into the header or something. posted by Amanojaku at 1:39 PM on April 14, 2010
I was also considering "Hold Me Closer Tony Danza" just because I've always wanted to use that as an FPP title, but it's not as beautifully related to the subject matter as a lyric from the "Who's the Boss?" theme song itself. Kudos. posted by Marisa Stole the Precious Thing at 1:57 PM on April 14, 2010
