Mmmmm, fantastic. Say, what's the first frame from Wicker Man?

Four Rooms sounds too easy.

Four frames? Peh! Three Frames is plenty.

This is strangely hypnotic, but now I feel like a cretin for not having seen nor heard of half of these movies.

Finally a post that matches my attention span.

My initial thought was that this would be a distillation of the movie's plot down to four frames but it just seems like...four random frames from the movie. Huh.

I find it's more fun when they don't have recognizable shots of celebrity leads. Makes it more of a guessing game, more of an appreciation of the imagery.

Of the ones that I'd seen, I actually thought that these captured the movie nicely. Maybe not the plot per se, but the movie. Rocky made me laugh.

That's part of the fascination for me.

I know the word "random" is overused a bit, but m0nm0n is right. Totally random. The emoticon theatre was great, though.

Say, what's the first frame from Wicker Man?

It's two snails fornicating, from Officer Howie's first night at the Green Man, when people are fornicating in the village green and Lord Summerisle brings a young lad to be initiated by Willow.

I'd actually say that frame doesn't belong there, because that's from the extended edition (which brings in Officer Howie's first night), and not the original cut.

damn, I am a Wicker nerd.

Well, it's not the bees.

Sorry, not feelin' it.

The frames don't seem to well-chosen (IMO) to express the movie - they're almost (not quite) randomly chosen.

Maybe I'm too much of a literalist, and want more clearly plot-oriented shots.

Intriguing concept, poorly executed.

I am so sick of these gimmicky film blogs. Who fucking CARES about this crap? And the frames are so arbitrary! What's the point?

Boo on them for doing Le Samourai and not having the first frame be the opener, with its insanely gorgeous fifty shades of grey that set a tone of cool aesthetics as well as tortured but silent male protagonist-psyche. But I love this in general, yeah!

Me too, the Big fish one illustrates this quite nicely.
