I've never heard of this but I love good comics and based on the field guide I'm buying all the old stuff first chance I get.
Speaking of indie comics, this reminded me to catch up on Order of Tales / Rice Boy which I think has had a couple of FPPs already but is still amazing. posted by Nomiconic at 10:04 PM on April 22, 2010
I'm not familiar with any of his earlier stuff. I don't know why it is, but what's on the website reminds me of Pogo, PLIF, and PBF all rolled together. posted by crataegus at 10:41 PM on April 22, 2010
What's with the super narrow page layout and the tiny, tiny word bubble text? I can hardly read a thing. And if it's good as advertised, I want to be able to read it. posted by legion at 11:36 PM on April 22, 2010 [3 favorites]

Doesn't seem difficult -- I just ordered the Memoirs of Lenny the Frog collection for $7 shipped. (But don't you all buy up all the copies of Underwoods And Overtime and Stoneground And Hillbound till I've gotten Memoirs and decide whether I want to order them, too, kthx?) posted by Zed at 10:02 AM on April 23, 2010
the words are too small. This author is inconsiderate. I can't respect his work, no matter how much like all the other humerus, interesting, and artistically-merited webcomics his is posted by rebent at 11:42 AM on April 23, 2010
Yeah, the lettering is difficult. The artist has been told this in his comments and is working to change it. posted by Geameade at 1:41 PM on April 23, 2010
Finished the first collection. I admired the inventive weirdness, but disliked the art and lettering and am ultimately kind of neutral about it. posted by Zed at 5:30 PM on May 18, 2010
