I am thirty-five years old, and the father of four (Atticus Diablo, Tennessee Rose, Guinness MacRoan, and Soren Osiris).

Poor kids.

Oh, shut up.

Whoops, dhoyt beat me by a fraction. Great minds...

Hmm.. poor kids. heh.

I don't get it, the 'paintings' look kinda weak. I'm one that can appreciate a good illustrator more than ten 'soho artists', is that wrong? Seems great art is whatever pisses people off the most these days.

I like the images; I think *all* children should be boneless. Makes it easier to fit 'em into tight spaces.

Remember all great art has the element of tragedy

For instance, here the unicorn is trapped on the aircraft carrier.

*must stop making Kids In The Hall references*

Overbearingly cutesy.

I disagree. I like them. And I was somewhat disappointed when almost all of the paintings for sale were already sold.

I like them as well - I like how even the "happy" paintings of bunny rabbits and such are still somewhat dark.

I don't know why, but I sort of like these.

I love them. Sort of Gorey-esque, with a smidgen of Mark Ryden for good measure. So there.

They kind of remind me of the art in Nick Cave's Murder Ballads, with all the Sad Bunny Rabbits etc....also art in Swans' Omniscience and White Light From The Mouth of Infinity.

"About The Me?"

"About the Me?"

Kind of takes talking about yourself in the 3rd person to a whole new level. Also "Gallery the 1st" gives me a little pause. Syntax the bad. On misplacing words the purpose.

Yeah, and you get more meat per pound that way...

"Act the First" or "Chapter the First" was a motif in some film (or cartoon?) that was popular with the nerdy 80s high school crowd. (Yes, speaking from experience.)

Can't for the life of me remember where it comes from, but I'm thinking Princess Bride, Monty Python, or "Fractured Fairy Tales."

Does anyone remember?

my take was that this is an allusion to Lewis Carroll's "hunting of the snark," whose chapters are "Fit the first, Fit the Second," etc.

whacked use of the Dreamweaver layers feature

Much more interesting work of expressive cartoonishness: Joe Sorren, Anita Kunz, My Pet Skeleton

Who the hell is this guy kidding? His artwork stinks, and he just plain clearly thinks too much of himself.
Im an artist, and I would never for a second have the hubris to think I could pass my stuff off if it looked like this crap.
Somebody needs to be taken down a notch.

Childern? I wish that was hanging over my bed when I was younger...

I think it has a lot to do with the colors used. Very muted. I wonder if the exact same paintings were re-created with the traditional bright colors associated with children's art would they have a vastly different effect. Granted, some of the imagery is pretty sombre because of the subject matter or character design, but I believe color determines a lot.

Oy! All this death and destruction, over a couple of names!

Maybe you guys should think about switching to decaf.

maybe their parents just hung up dark paintings in their rooms when they were just children.
