The EFF gets a meeting with Adobe,but does it come quickly enough? I, for one, am not ready to easily forgive and forget the company's actions, regardless how strong Adobe's case against him. Keep your eye on the ball and maybe we'll see a bad law overturned and an injustice corrected.

The DMCA is generating heroes at an incredible pace. I can barely believe Adobe's actions, much less how they must have assumed they could get away with it.

Protests will still be happening in places like Chicago and Seattle on Monday. But they aren't going to be linked with the EEF as much as before.

Is there a definitive "the DCMA is evil" site I can point people to when they question the drawbacks to it?

The EFF is probably the most definitive site out there in terms of legal specifics and activism on that front. However, it doesn't contain nearly the level of vitriol that this bill clearly deserves.

Well, I don't know of a definitive site, as such. However, there is a brief explanation of the DMCA on the Boycott Adobe site, a very nice article about the law at the EFF site and a decent explanation of the DMCA's effect on copyright law on MSNBC's site.

You know, I'm just thinking here, but the only way to fix this whole situation is to have the DMCA overturned completely. To do so would take someone going to court, probably all the way to the Supreme Court. It really sucks that this guy, from a foreign country with a family and a job has to be our martyr. Moreover, fom the looks of things, there is a chance that he would be released without ever going to court. (Perhaps)

Ever wanted to see your name up there in big lights? Is anyone out there who maybe has some free time? It would be nice to have a solid case against the DMCA, and to bring it all the way up the judicial branch, without risking a family and a job.

If you agree, we can supply you with all of the infringing material you need.

Thank goodness, I didn't know how I would go about doing my job without Photoshop, Illustrator etc.
