Maine GOP now the Tea Party

On Saturday the Maine Republican Party adopted this platform. It is the first party convention in the country to officially align itself as a Tea Party.

I wonder if they're indirectly referring to START when they mention "rejecting any treaty that limits our firearms". I mean, a ballistic missile is just like a big bullet, right?

Additionally; so now can I publicly laugh at people who claim the Tea party is really (honestly!) about opposition to both parties?

well its not all bad. i like that 'read the bill' thing, and all of section I.j about congress term limits and pay raise. then it descends into crazy talk :/

I love seeing this kind of stuff put in writing:
ii. Parents, not government, are responsible for making decisions in the best interest of their children, whether disciplinary, educational, or medical.
Makes it easier to build a case against them when they roll their kids in carpets and beat them to death.
